MEDRC Water Research unveiled an impressive lineup of presenters at their inaugural Cutting-Edge Technology Showcase event held at their facility in Al Hail yesterday. Leading industrial suppliers were invited to showcase latest advancements in water treatment technologies to a select audience of influential Omani water stakeholders and experts from the public, private and academic sectors (OPWP, PAEW and HAYA Water, PDO and SQU). The day had a truly global flavour with presentations from world renowned companies and pioneering countries in water treatment such as Dynaflow (The Netherlands), Fugro & QStone (The Netherlands), T Chatani & Co Ltd (Japan), GS Inima (Spain) and Glass Point Solar (Oman/US) and Flowserve (US). After each presentation the agenda allowed for a period of open discussion. The showcase acted as a meaningful platform for knowledge exchange and strengthened MEDRC’s reputation as an important regional hub for the development of solutions to fresh water scarcity. Addressing the audience at the event, Dr. Jauad el Kharraz, Head of Research, MEDRC Water Research said, “Finding solutions to fresh water scarcity demands collective action and community engagement.
